Overview: To provide a basic knowledge and ability to act safely in an emergency/accident situation and life threatening conditions.
Outcome: This course will equip participants with the basic knowledge to understand life threatening conditions by means of participation in group exercises and hands on practical assessment involving manikins and other participants. This will enable them to gain the skills and confidence to prioritise in an emergency situation and deal with the incident effectively.
Topics Covered: Relevant Legislation, Initial Assessment, Rescue Breathing, CPR, Choking, Shock and Bleeding.
